A Synopsis:

"All my life I have been involved with Art in one form or other. It’s a passion that takes over completely, I love it and it gives me such opportunities to meet and spark off so many interesting people in such diverse places. As a professional artist I may have to produce specific pieces to order but I still feel the excitement because my job is also my vocation. I am always interested in testing my talent and techniques in the subject matter, communication methods (including new technology) and discovering new and innovative ways to use new art media. It’s a voyage of discovery and because teaching and demonstrating seems to come naturally to me I thoroughly enjoy communicating all of this to the public and students alike. I teach students of all levels of ability and ages from the very youngest to teenagers and including late-life adopters of art. With all ages art draws out their characters, love of life and creativity. When communicating even the most basic art techniques I need to create empathy and enthusiasm as well as develop my student’s skills; and my approaches yield results - so my students tell me, and show me. I have found demonstrating for professional companies is no different. It has to carry the same passion and conviction no matter what the product, environment, situation or size of crowd. It’s just so much fun and I could ask for no more rewarding career than I have."

Recent art related career history 2000 to present:

• Launching a brand new web site offering on-line interactive learning and staged lessons on art techniques from beginner to proficient
• National Demonstrator for Daler Rowney (artists materials manufacturer) at many locations across Europe including Paperworld.Trade Fair Frankfurt; NEC Birmingham; Artists and Illustrators Arts Fair London; Patchings Art Centre; Hobbicraft numerous locations;
• Freelance demonstrations of painting techniques held for 60+ art clubs throughout the South of England.
• Teacher/Demonstrator: HF Holiday ‘Art Holidays’ at Glen Coe, Whitby, St Ives, Selworthy, Cornwall. 4 day Painting Flowers course at Knuston Hall for The Artist and Leisure Painter.
